Thanks Joey. It's always good to see you! I'm really looking forward to Clayton! I'm starting to get a little nervous, but I'm looking forward to a great time!
So, I benched last night. I think I went up to 175, but I am not completely sure about that. We were trying to work through some issues and it became more frustrating than productive. Finally, after benching for damn near two hours, we made some progress. Of course, by then I was too worn out to do much with it. It wasn't the workout I'd hoped for, but it was necessary to go through in order to ensure good lifts at the meet. Sometimes these kinds of workouts are necessary and they are almost always more valuable than they seem.

I had such a fantastic time at the Clayton meet! There were so many great lifters there, so I enjoyed watching whenever I wasn't lifting. It was so great to see everyone helping each other out and cheering each other on.
I had a great day. I made all nine lifts and hit PR's in each ift too! It was a great reward for all of the hard work!
I know that I've said this before, but I feel like I can't say it enough....I could not have done it without Greg. He has literally taught me everything that I know about this sport. As a matter of fact, I had never even heard of powerlifting until I met him. He puts so much thought into my training and really watches how I respond to every aspect so that he can make any changes that are necessary. He motivates me, encourages me, and pushes me to work harder and lift more (although sometimes he gets a little carried away and "pushes" me a little too hard on the back! ;D). I may have lifted the weight on Saturday, but it was his talent behind it.
Thank you Greg. I love you.
I can't leave out everyone else that helped out on Saturday. Thank you to Mark and Will for coming down to support and help me. It really meant a lot that you spent your weekend up there helping out. Thanks to Angie, Hillary, Charlotte, and Wendy. I loved looking out in the crowd and seeing you guys out there cheering. It was great spending time with you guys and getting to know you even better. You're the best! I have to give a big thanks to Brett, who helped me put on my bench belly! I have never eaten a meal so incredible! I can't wait for "wrapaho" it is certain to be a success!! Thanks to Lynn, Robbie, and Brian who took the time to cheer me on even though they were lifting too. Great job to all of you! I can't leave out Joey and Rodney. It's always great to have you guys around. Rodney, I am genuinely impressed with the amount of heart you have! I can't believe that you got on that bench dispite your broken finger. Contrats on the good lift! You certainlyl deserved it! Thanks to Derek for the support you showed and a huge contratulations to you for getting Elite! Thank you to everyone who was there for coming out to support all of the lifters and have a great time!
Okay, now for the numbers....
Squat 286 (I think) 325 352
BP 159 175--what a grind! I felt like I was fighting with this shit for 10 minutes. All I kept thinking was "I'm gonna keep pushing this shit until they rip it away from me." I got pissed at the thought of the spotters taking it and finished the lift. 187
DL--This was my first meet pulling sumo. I started learning last May or June. My goal was to match my best conventional pull, which was 280, so getting 292 was a great PR! 240 275 292

Conrats on a great meet Sharon. Pr's across the board and a state record to top it off is fantastic. Well done....

I sorry about the screw up baby. I'm so very proud of you and what you accomplished Saturday. You competed like a true pro and showed tremendous heart. Your just begin to show what your capable of and I think now you are actually starting to realize this as well. It makes my heart feel good to watch you as you show me how to work hard and have fun doing it...I love you!

heeeheeee....thanks derek! I'm surprisingly not bummed about the state record thing. That was a total bonus and not something that I had set as a goal for this meet so it's no big deal. Of course NOW it's a goal!
