Derek, I think my little sumo muscles are helping me out a little bit with my squat. Just keep working hard and you too can turn your muscles into "cute little sumo muscles." It's a gift.... really. Once you've reached that point, I'll teach you how to train biceps and we'll enter you into the next curl-a-thon. You'll be the envy of every curler in town.
Thanks babe. I had a good workout. I'm starting to feel it some already this morning!

Okay, in order to begin you need to go out and buy a muscle shirt (preferably one that is cut all the way down the sides) and some lifting gloves. Any old shorts and shoes will do since we will never ever (ever) train the lower body ever.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was fantastic! I took the week off of work for the holidays and so that Greg and I could run away to the mountains for a few days. We stayed on top of my training, I just didn't have access to a computer to post. Now I get to play catch up.

26 Dec.
It took me a little bit to warm up. We went to the gym early in the morning so that we could attempt to leave for the mountains at a decent time. This ended up being a good work out for me though.
cardio abs
squat--raw, close stance bar x 5 x 2 sets 105 x 5 145 x 4 briefs 195 x 3 added suit, straps down 235 x 3 straps up 265 x 1 added knee wraps 285 x 1 w/reverse bands (purple) 325 x 1 350 x 1
rack pulls wore my squat suit, which I now prefer over my DL suit 135 x 4 185 x 3 straps up 225 x 3 285 x 3

30 Dec--speed squat
cardio abs
DB rows 30 x 10 40 x 10 x 3 sets
squat w/ green bands bar x 3 x 2 sets 105 x 2 x 2 sets 125 x 2 x 4 sets 145 x 2 x 2 sets
blast strap leg curls 3 sets of 5 or 6.....this excercise was super hard for me, but it isolated my hams well. Poor little hamstrings--it was hard work for them lifting my big ass off the floor all by their little selves.

I think I skipped a bench workout. I know it was short and sweet. I went up to 180 to the chest and need a little bump to get it all the way back up. I was a little frustrated, but still happy with my progress.
Last night was a deload night for me. I started off with a little bit of cardio, some ab work, and lat pull downs. Then went under the bar.
bar x 10 105 x 8 briefs 145 x 5 195 x 5 added suit, straps down 215 x 3 235 x 2
DL 135 x 5 x 2 sets 185 x 2 185 x 1 225 x 1 x sets 250 x 1 x 3 sets---I think it's the 3rd one of these that Greg posted.
Today I am so tired that I am sitting at my desk working very hard at NOT letting my head go crashing forward on to my keyboard. I look forward to going home (in 66 minutes!!) drinking an beer and saying good-bye to the living world for at least 9 hours.

Thanks Joey! I'm getting really excited about this weekend. It seems like it's been a while since I've seen everyone and I'm looking forward to watching the lifters...especially that super-sexy, god-like Greg Crook! We did some lower body accessory work on Sunday that I forgot to post. We did some cardio, abs, seated rows, leg presses and ended with straight leg deads. It was a good workout. Last night's bench went well. I am having some ass lifting issues, but we are working it out. I changed the way I set up and that helped. I'll just have to fine tune squishing my ass all up underneath me. Lord knows there's enough of it to do so! shoulder press machine 3 sets face pulls with blast straps 3 sets tricep press downs 2 sets bench warmup bar, 80, 100 shirted 2 brd. 150 x 3 to chest 150 x 3 160 x 3 170 x 3 180 x 3 couldn't touch 180 x 1 2 brd 225 x 1 (Greg helped a little)
