Thursday, Aug. 2 Cardio day, 5.3 mile run, 100 laps, wanted to do quite a bit more, but the Achilles on my left ankle (from the sprain a few weeks ago) was throbbing, so I shut it down.

Friday, Aug.9 Cardio day -- 6 mile run, 114 laps, had a lot more in me, hammys cramped up because I wasn't hydrated.

Monday, Aug. 13 Cardio day -- 65 minutes on stationary bike, pretty high intensity, HR at 160-180 all but about 10 minutes
Tuesday, Aug. 14 Incline dbs 4X 70s X10 decline press machine 6X 50s X10 db tri kickbacks 4X 40s X12 Straight bar tri pushdowns 5X 100 X12
Friday, Aug. 17 Cardio day, 5.3 mile run, 100 laps
Saturday, Aug. 18 Low back hyper machine 10X 150 X20 Smith machine bb rows 4X 225 X5 Military press 3X 135 X20 Wide grip pulldowns 3X 120 X20 got the blood moving.

OK, back again. Here is what has been going on lately: I've been working very light on the weights and keeping my cardio work going. I've been running an average of about twice a week, the usual 5.3 mile run, and my times are getting better, around 1:06 to 1:08.
Tuesday, Dec. 11 Stationary bike, 65 minutes, HR at 160-170 most of the way, 23-plus miles
Wednesday Dec. 12 Bench 4X 185 X10 Incline DBs 3X 70s X8 Narrow grip bench w/ EZ curl bar (4-inch grip) 4X 125 X10 Tri cable extensions overhead 4X 100 X12 One-armed tri cables behind head 4X 30 X10
Took the rest of the week off because I felt like I was coming down with something and wanted to give my body a chance to rest (I've been hitting the cardio stuff real hard lately). Anyway, I guess it worked because I didn't get sick (not yet, anyway). Looking forward to a week of hard workouts. I am closing in on 19,000 laps at the Y running track (1,000 miles). I am at 18,560 laps right now, so that will be a big deal to me when I make it.

Monday, Dec. 17 short and sweet Pull ups 4X BW X8 Smith machine bent rows, underhand grip 1X 185 X5 1X 205 X5 1X 225 X5 1X 245 X5 Machine curls 30X 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 (negative on last rep), no rest between sets Was going to hit the low back extension pretty hard, but there are some definite hip issues going on right now, which is a little scary because my hips have never hurt before. I wonder if bourbon makes your hips ache?
