Marty you said it best!
"I've decided to listen to my body and just have fun lifting and running and not put too much pressure on myself, except to stay in good condition."
Spoken like a true genious!

So sorry to hear about the injury, Marty. Glad you are back posting, though. Keep us informed about your healing progress. I don't know your feelings on alternative medical treatments, but I could not do without Dr. Larry Gray and active release therapy. Hope you'll consider it. Thanks for the tip Cheryl. I am feeling much better now. A week later and almost all the soreness in gone. Thanks for the support!

Spoken like a true genious! Thanks for the support Greg. Don't know about that 'genious' bit though! I feel like I'm doing the right thing, and right now, that's good enough!

Monday, June 11 Cardio day -- 65-minutes on stationary bike HR between 165-185, ankle felt fine
Tuesday, June 12 more cardio -- 65 minutes on bike, high intensity
The two bike workouts helped me keep my wind without putting too much stress on the ankle. I hope to try and run by the end of the week. Also plan to start lifting again by the end of the week. Thanks to everybody for your support and encouragement! You guys don't know how much it means to me!!!

OK, since I am going to the beach next week, I decided not to lift this week and just do cardio, with the idea of starting back on the iron when I get back. Did do cardio, however.
Monday, June 18 Cardio -- 5.3 mile run, 100 laps, first time running since the sprain and the ankle felt fine, whew.
Tuesday, June 19 Cardio -- 65 minutes stationary bike
I plan to run again Friday. The place I am staying at the beach had some bikes and stuff, so I will most likely hit those a couple times. Also, I want to do some interval training (sprints) in the deep sand on the beach. That should put me right by the time I get back home. Continuing to lose weight and my legs feel fresher because of it.

Made my first trip to The Shed tonight and read some of the articles you've written on Joey and Rodney. Excellent writing, Marty! I wish we had someone of your caliber with interest in PL'ing in our area. Thanks for the support. Update us on the ankle!

The ankle is OK, still a little sore in the Achilles.
