OK, I'm a little behind here, but here it is: Thursday, June 21 Cardio day -- stationary bike, 65 minutes Friday, June 22 Cardio day -- 5.3 mile run, 100 laps Left for the beach Saturday Sunday, June 24 -- 30 minutes on stationary bike at resort exercise center (not a bad little exercise room; some good cardio machines, some Nautilus stuff, DBs up to 50s, better than most places I've seen) Monday, June 25 Chest and tri stuff on machine and DBs 30 minutes stationary bike Wednesday, June 27 Back and bi stuff on machines and DBs 30 minutes bike Did enough at the beach to keep in decent condition Wanted to run sprints in the sand, but the ankle was wobbly just walking on sand, so I scrapped that idea. Monday, July 2 Cardio day -- 5.3 mile run, 100 laps Tuesday, July 3 Cardio day -- 45 minutes super-high intensity stationary bike Thursday, July 5 Incline DB press 4X 70s X10 Dips 3X BW X5 Close-grip floor press (4-inch grip) 4X 135 X12 One-arm tri cable pushdowns 4X 30 X20 Cable crossovers 4X 30 X20 then 35 min. high intensity on stationary bike Friday, July 6 Barbell bent rows 4X 185 X10 Low-back machine 5X 170 X20 Rear delt mach. 4X 120 X20 Military press 4X 135 X12 NG pulldowns w/ the NG pulley row attachment thingie 4X 150 X10 Seated DB shrugs 10X 100s X15 Machine curls 4X 30 X10 30X 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Saturday, July 7 Shot basketball by myself for 45 minutes. Hadn't shot ball in years, but thought it might help stretch me out after a very difficult workout Friday. Shot Ok -- made 18 of 26 3-pointers at one stretch (course, nobody was guarding me, lol ) I am continuing to try and ramp up the cardio and have lost 20 pounds over the last few months. Still not where I want to be, but it seems some of the strength is coming back.

Friday, July 13 Bench 1X bar X10 1X 135 X3 4X 185 X10 Stability ball db presses (3 diff. angles) 3X 50s X12 Overhead tricep cable (two handed) 4X 110 X10 Cable tri pushdowns (1 hand) 4X 40 X12-15 Tri cables behind head 4X 30 X12 DB rear delts 3X 55s X10 DB front raises (super strict form) 3X 20s X10 BB shrugs 10X 225 X20 then 65 minutes on stationary bike, fast pace (85-95 rpm) Saturday, July 14 NG pull ups 4X bw+25 X5 Wide grip low pulley rows 4X 150 X10 Low back hyper machine 10X 175 X20 Cable curls 3X 30 X20 still taking things light where the weights are concerned; weight loss is starting to plateau, I knew it would eventually very happy with my cardio conditioning right now.

OK, took last week off and went to Cherokee, camping w/ family and fishing...fished part of the day thursday, all day friday and part of saturday...three of us caught 110 trout...not great size, about a 10-inch average, but numbers were pretty good. We have now caught 94, 118, 119 and 110 on our last four trips to the Rez for 441 total. Monday, July 23 Incline DB press 70s X 10-10-6-6-5 (weak ass bastard) Floor press CG 4X 225 X8 Medium grip (16") 4X 185 X8 Close grip (4") 4X 135 X8 Tricep cable kickbacks 4X 40 X10 Straight bar tri pushdowns 1X 100 X8 1X 120 X8 1X 140 X8 1X 160 X8 1X 100 X20 Tuesday, July 24 Smith machine bent BB rows, underhand grip 1X 135 X10 1X 185 X8 1X 205 X8 1X 225 X8 1X 245 X8 1X 275 X4 1X 185 X8 1X 135 X10 Low back (hyper) machine 10X 215 X10 10X 175 X10 DB rows 3X 100 X12 Wednesday, July 25 Cardio day, ran 5.3 miles, 100 laps. Note to self: Do not run on the day following 200 reps of hypers. My low back was screaming by lap 50, which caused form breaks and subsequent quad pain. Limped home, but made it; didn't stop, dammit. Maybe we ought to arrange a fish fry for the message board folks for this fall sometime...you guys up for that? We're going again in September and we plan on bringing 120-plus home.

It's been broken before, and it isn't hurting much, but I may skip on running until Wednesday to give it an extra day or two of rest. I'm anxious to have a strong run since the one last week sucked so bad (see tale of woe concerning 200 reps of hyperextensions the day before )
