ME Deadlift - 8/19/07
Last deadlift b4 Rock Hill. Pullin' w/ Cheryl, Steve and Moose at the Y today. D came down to squat in the mono. Lots of laughs and some good lifting.
Competition style pulls from the floor - just briefs and belt - 140 / 230 / 320 / 410 / 460 / 500. Add suit w/ straps up - 540 x 1. Add cheat straps (grip just wasn't getting it today) 590 x 1 / 625 x 1 (pr). 80 lb kettlebell swings - 3 sets of 12. Hamstring curl ups against average (green) band - 3 sets of 10. Chest supported rows - 3 plates for 8 / 3 plates + 35 for 6. Spud strap standing ab crunches - 2 sets of 12.
Steve pulled a big 575 pr today - congrats again my friend!

Speed Bench - 8/21/07
Bar only against one set of dbld light bands + one set of dbld minis - 7 triples. 65 bar weight + same band tension - 1 triple. 95 bar weight + same band tension - 1 triple. Seated bar rows against dbld light bands - 3 sets of 8. Blue band shrugs - 3 sets of 12.

8/22/07 - Speed Squat / Deadlift -
Below parallel box squats w/ SS bar against one set of doubled minis + 270 bar weight - 9 doubles. Speed pulls (sumo) against tripled minis w/ 135 bar weight - 4 singles. w/ 185 bar weight - 4 singles. 45 degree back raises holding 90 lb db against chest - 3 sets of 10. Blue band shrugs - 3 sets of 10.
Speed was good off the box tonight - this is the first deload week before the meet. All pulls were done w/o cheat straps tonight to reinforce the grip. Kept switching grip between right hand under, left hand over and vise versa. All went very well. Did the extra shrug work at the end just to give me a little more grip work.
Words for the day: "Citius Fortius" - 3.25 seconds citius and 1780 total fortius...

ME Bench - 8/24/07 -
Raw bench - 135 / 225 / 275 / 315 x 1 Shirted (loose katana) to 3 boards - 345 x 1. Shirted to 2 boards - 375 x 1 Shirted to chest - 400 x 1. Switched to tight Katana 425 x 1 / 455 x 0 (buried me). Tried it again - half way up and hit a wall. Back to 3 boards - 480 x 1. Green band lat pulldowns - 3 sets of 10. Blue band shrugs - 3 sets of 12.

ME Squat - 8/26/07 - Squats in new Ginny's suit - no briefs. Straps down and no wraps - 140 / 230 / 320 / 410 / 500. Straps down w/ wraps - 550 x 1. Straps up and wraps - 590 x 1 / 640 x 0 (took it deep in the hole - maybe too deep - and lost it there). Put on briefs with suit - 640 x 1 ( a little high) / 640 x 1 - good rep. Green band standing ab crunches - 3 sets of 30.

ME Squat - 1/20/08 - Chain squats to parallel (briefs only) - 140 / 250 / 340 / 430 / 520 Chain squats to 2" above = (full gear) - 570 x 3 / 650 x 1. To 4" above = (full gear) - 720 x 1 / 800 x 0 (couldn't get tight - lost it 2" off the chains) Below parallel w/ 660 x 1. No accessory / supplemental - 6 people squatting - no time.

Squat Accessory - 1/21/08
Made up the accessory stuff that I missed on Sunday: Stiff legged deads from 2" platform - 4 sets of 10. Blue band pull thrus - 4 sets of 12. Blue band (wide stance) GM's - 2 sets of 15.

Raw 2 board presses w/ 3 second pauses on boards w/ each rep - 260 x 3 / 270 x 3 / 280 x 3 / 290 x 3. Raw bench to chest - 135 + doubled light bands - 4 triples. Close grip 3 board presses w/ 225 + doubled minis - 3 sets of 8. Kroc rows - 4 sets of 10. Rolling thunder - 3 sets. Abs - 3 sets.

Parallel box squats w/ SS bar w/ 350 bar weight - 6 doubles. Below parallel box squats w/ SSB w/ no bar weight + doubled blue bands - 4 doubles. Sumo speed pulls against tripled minis - 135 for 2 singles / 185 for 2 singles / 205 for 2 singles / 225 for 2 singles. TKE's - 2 sets of 25 each leg. Wide stance blue band GM's - 3 sets of 20. Abs - 3 sets.

Raw warmups - 140 / 230 / 280 / 320 Shirted to 3 board - 370 x 3 Shirted to 2 board - 410 x 2 / 460 x 1 Shirted to 1 board - 500 x 1 Shirted to chest - 505 x 0 (missed about 4" above chest). Got to get confident taking 500 to the chest. Shirted to 1 board - 460 x 3. Blue band pushdowns' - 5 sets of 12. Chest supported rows - 3 sets. Chest supported Kelso shrugs - 3 sets.
