Hello All,
Thanks for the compliments and encouragement. I really appreciate it. Today was the first day back in the gym. I hit it light and high volume.
This morning I ran 3 miles. Let me re phrase I ran 2.5 and walked .5 miles. At a pace between 6.5 miles per hour and 4.0 miles per hour on a 6% incline the whole way on the treadmill.
This evening.
Bench Press 2 warm up sets with 135 then 185.
Then 3 working sets with 225 for 8 reps. Just easy to get the muscles full of blood.
Then dumbell bench press with the 60's for 3 sets with 20 reps. Then dumbell cable extensions sets of 20 with up to 190 lbs.
Afterwards I hit the shoulder machine thingy majig. I did 3 sets there with 15 reps and went up to 110 lbs. Tadpole and I talked a little bit. Next meet I will be leaner meaner and far more refined. However I will maybe bust off some robot moves after my final deadlift. Thanks again to all.

Hooah Breaker,
I know your pain. I ran my balls off on Ardenes Street for 5 and a half years of my life. I weighed 167 lbs when I got out of the Army only a year ago. Now I do not have to run any more so I can focus on strength more. I still like to get in my cardio but my 5'5" tall 190 lbs ass is not as easy to carry.

Wade we might have crossed paths I left Bragg Sep 2000. I will admit I had my fun times and then those fucking FTX's and JRTC rotations "lol". But if I was to ever go back to the Army which I do not see, I would rather be there! Well on second thought Division Review All American week, hmmmmm I might have to rethink that one out. ;D

Yeah, but damnit it puts a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye when I think back to the pride and mystique being an Airborne Soldier means. Not just some puke who wears a beret and may have eaked out jumped school. A real do what ever it takes soldier, a man who gets up even when he can't. By the way I got there Sep 29th. I did Core LRS. I jumped with the 04 a few times worked with CAG, and even did selection!!!
Now on the lifting. Today was a good workout.
First time to do legs since competing a week ago.
Squat 5x8 last 3 sets with 315 no belt. Leg Press with 935 lbs plus the sled at 8 reps. hip abduction inner and outer 3 sets of 15. Leg Curl 3 sets of 15 100lbs seated calf raise 3 sets 10 or so reps.
Nice light day not anything to brag about. Felt good to be back in the gym. I love to work legs.

I have mad respect for all those who serve....thanks for protecting and serving our country Wade!.... Hell yeah, what Joey said! I've always respected you guys, some of my best friends are service men, including a great bro of mine who is in Kuwait right now. had a friend who was a marine corps recruiter, he almost talked me into it a year or so out of HS, always kind of regretted I didn't do it. anyway, glad there are folks dedicated enough to serve. thanks to all of 'em.

Hey Joey, Call me at the house (919)550-3926 or on my work phone (919)3983313. The number of mine I called you on is my wife's cell phone I never check her messages. I will ask her if she got it. She is a hotty if you are bored give her a call AHHAAHAHAHAHA!!!
OK Ok I have been training steady and have neglected my training log. I have done the following this week.
Forgot to run this week which was a fuck up.
Squats 5X8 working up to my last two sets with 375. Inner outer hip abduction 1 set of 15 reps each. Leg Curl 3 sets of 12 reps with some weight. Seated Calf Raise 3 sets 8-12 reps with 3 big plates.
Deadlift 5X8 Last three sets with 405lbs no belt no funny clothes. Glute Ham raise 4 sets of 8. Pull downs with the v-bar 3 sets of 10 Then a burnout drop set on the low row Hammer Strength machine. Starting with 3 45's on each side to failure then stripping 1 then going to failure with 2 45's, then stripping one and going 1 45 on each side to failure. Then nothing to failure. Tadpole and I were both satisfied with this. Afterwards we sexually assaulted an entire cow pasture to include the farmer and his tractor.
