i'll start this log with what i did that last few days... sumo deads/accessory work bw: 280(wed) 278(thurs)
wed nite sumo deads raw(no wrist wraps) 225/5 315/6 405/3 455/1(really tough) 505/1(easy as nuts...go figure...LOL!!) 545/1(this was a fight!!)
thurs nite barbell shrugs 405/2x20 455/20
barbell curls 135/2x10
HS curls 75/4x10
pullups bw/8 bw/4 bw/3
pulldowns to belly 150/2x8
standing calf raises 150/3x10
adductor work/abs(landmine) HCB
***wasn't able to get on at the library last nite...net connection there was bad after the storm...did SUMO deads last nite and PRed on them with 545. never been able to go past 495 without changing up to conventional so i'm happy with that. 505 was a smoke show and 545 was a struggle. adductors were still quaking a bit simliar to the issue on squats so i did those tonite which sucked ass. did some high rep barbell shrugs and barbell curls tonite after the storm passed thru here. its the 2nd one in two days and we have another one to be expected tommorrow. LOL! lookin foward to training with the guys again though. found out that NGBB is having their meet august 26th so we are doin that and probably startin our cycle early may or so. also, could be training with monster of a lifter...6-1, 320...and a possible 2400 total considering all he has done is raw work and hasn't been in gear either....got my BF checked for nutss and giggles since in the past 3 weeks i've been dropping weight w/o reason or cardio for that matter(that is if u count hauling pine straw, moving and carrying plants weighing from 8 to 200lbs...LOL!!). found out its at 15.9... Watched your Meet Vids Curt and you looked very solid on your squats. Question about your squat suit I see you’re wearing it backwards and that's how I use to wear mine also, till John made fun of me (lol). Na but using the straps back is much better in my opinion it will help keep you tight and seems to set better on the back also. Just food for thought bro, like I said you had excellent starting and finishing strength on all attempts.

***looks like i picked the # right on the gillespie routine. i set it at 440 and has me projected for 485 in 6 weeks. we'll see what happens and at that point i'll make a decision on whether or not i'll do a full or bench only at the NGBB meet. really want to do what phil did and specialize for a while. i felt really good benchin tonite...i meant to do 2 sets of 8 with 310 and not 3...oh well...LOL!! key presses went very well...bad thing is though that the DBs at my gym go from 115s to 130s... Just food for thought bro, like I said you had excellent starting and finishing strength on all attempts. mike, honestly that suit was made for jason...it just so happened that it was just big enough for me to fit right...LOL!! and even when he had it...he couldn't tell which was the front or back...neither could any of my partner...so we picked a side and called it the front...what else could ya do? i emailed karin my 804 vid and she said that i was wearing it backwards as well. i guess its been working fine...karin is willing to tighten it up some to get more pop out of it...but if it ain't broke...don't fix it right? LOL!! HCB

***me and jason hammered the back pretty hard tonite...a big back does wonders on the big 3!! and yea... i changed the title of my log...LOL!! bodyweight is staying steady between 275-280 right now and i had an assload of GPP today...loading and unloading wheat straw...big fun!! LOL!! HCB

Nice back work Curt, glad to see you and Jason getting back together, and what the hell you know about wheat straw?.... ;D its sucks to be solo...i know but our schedules conflict right now and last nite i got of work early cause of the assload of rain we've been gettin so i was able to get up with him...he works about 15 minutes from the gym...i'm about 45 min to 1hr...dealing with traffic...LOL!! he usually hangs out for a bit when i get there so i have a spot and someone to push me as well. its a lot better when i'm not having to think about what reps i need to do and what weight...all i do now is ask jason...LOL!! and that's scary!! and about that wheat straw...after yesterday...trust me..."I KNOW ALL ABOUT DAT!!" HCB

ME(near puke) squats bw: 281
ME squat with BRIEFS ONLY!! (no wrist wraps, knee wraps or belt!!) 145/10 235/6 w/ briefs 325/3 415/3 505/5-5-5-5 NO GEAR AT ALL!! 225/26!! to the box
leg extensions- 3x10(100) leg curls- 3x12(100) standing calf raises- 3x25(140) ab and adductor/abductor work
***this was a pretty intense session. jason hung around to coach me thru the hell i ensued. 225 was light on my back but boy did it do the damage f**kin good. i came once again to this close to puking.... and to me...that's a VERY good thing!! LOL!! and it was worth it go one more rep than monkey boy...LOL!!
and yea...my boss continues to send me to various parts of ALABAMA once again...they now call it the BAMA TOUR!!! LOL!! but hey...at least it gives me a chance to see other parts of birmingham as well as alabama.... so its fun!! HCB

***the 2nd week was like last week...all the reps were strong and not too difficult but next week is lookin to be harder so we'll see. i seem to do my max set only up to 6 reps like last week. still not bad though...my incline work is startin to go back up but it hard to hit it hard after that many sets on raw bench. i needed to get away from the HS shoulder press cause when i got back to DB shoulder presses it threw me off bad. so i'll be hittin my DB shoulder presses again til i get them over 100s like i used to. though i came into this session quite pissed because of the events in the world yesterday so i pretty much used it for much of the session. but as of lately though, i've been aggressive/pissed a bit more than usual and its for no apparent reason. go figure... HCB
