Congratulations on an absolutely AWESOME showing yesterday. Don’t worry about the 515 snafu, the records books are calling your name big time. PS: I will send the DL vids to Derek and he will post them

btw 10-8-04 correct me if i'm wrong but thats the day travis broke coans total record. hell that feat alone was what sparked my interest in powerlifting. Derek, you win the trivia contest prize!! That day in Atlanta, the crowd was absolutely electrified!! And, yes, that was the day I decided to give PLing a try, too. When I got back from that trip I found my first coach and the rest, as they say, is history (in the making). Thanks for the love. Steve, you know you played a BIG part in my success and I am very grateful. Thanks so much.

Cheryl -- Watching the vid of your pulls, I could only think of one word: AWESOME! And I'm pretty good at thinking up words. To overcome the injury and perform like you did takes more heart than most people will ever even dream of having. Great job! Now go take some darvocet and listen to Floyd!

Thank you Greg!! Your crew was mighty impressive, too. Thanks for the support. It would have been a skimpy meet without your lifters. Jo, thanks!! Support from someone who puts up big numbers like you makes me smile . It would make my head swell, but I've had enough swelling lately (ruptured TFL). Marty, no need to get out the Thesaurus. I'm good with AWESOME. Thanks for watching the vid. Derek--THANK YOU. Chris Clark posted the video on Elitefts.com. He called me today to offer congratulations. BTW, check your snail mail Tuesday . Well, I've had my 15 minutes of fame. Back to work tomorrow. My new shirt should be here then. But ME Bench will have to wait until Friday night. Gotta get that bench up so I don't embarrass myself in Daytona!! Hopefully someone will have a video camera that night and we can put some footage on the board. I need all the help I can get. Thanks again to all who came out to support Travis and Gym 365 on Saturday. Mocksville loves you all!!!

all i can say is that every time i think about it i get goosebumps from your performance saturday. and i agree with derek 21st, 1st or 101st that was some of the most inspiring lifting i've ever seen by anyone. i show people the vid i took on my phone to every and say " you see that... thats what never settling for satisfactory will get you, imortality amongst your peers, unprecedented repsect and only one more reason to keep trucking". i noticed the 10-8-04 on your palm (i believe it was your left) before the 515 and thought to ask you but you were so focused i figured i would wait. i can tell you this, whenever i compete again 5-12-07 will be on my palm.

Garrett (wee man), I really appreciate your comments. You have no idea how much that statement has affected me! You've definitely made me look at this from a different perspective. You see, I spend most of my lifting time in "fan-mode", that is, I am trained by the world champion Travis Mash, and regularly get to lift in the company of greats like Joey Smith, Ox Mason, Chris Clark and Chris Cooke. So, you see, I am always the low man (woman, whatever, Lifter, let's use that) on the totem pole. To think MY lifting could inspire someone sort of blows my mind. You make a good point--and that is if you settle for satisfactory, you'll probably be satisfied, but never all that great. Travis Mash is absolutely incapable of recognizing that there are limits. His mind does not work that way. He envisioned superstardom for himself--he achieved it. He sees it for Joey--and Joey proved Saturday that there is still much more in him that we haven't seen. And so I want you to think that way. We all should. It works. Thanks again for the post, and remember to be neversatisfied.

I brought my good camera to take videos, but the battery went dead, so I had to use the video on my cell phone. The quality of the video is not the best, but the lifts, and the reaction from your coach (and you) is priceless.
