I don't even want to post this one. Day started out good enough. My regular Monday morning visit to Dr. Gray for stim and A.R.T. on the left shoulder/bicep. Then met Trav at noon to train. All downhill from there.
4-23 ME Bench Warm-Up Bar x 3 115 x 3 135 x 2 165 x 1 175 x 1 Shirt On 205 x 1 225 x 1 245 x 0 Meltdown! Left shoulder collapses just short of the touch, lost my air and arch, bar stalled on the way back up at my raw sticking point. Trav tapped it and I locked it out, but this is not the way I needed to bench on my last time in the shirt before May 12th. I am extremely disappointed in myself. I got that weight last week after a long 3-board workout! What the . . .?!
Fat Bar Close Grip 115 x 8 135 x 8 145 x 8 155 x 4
Face Down Incline Rows 135 x 8 185 x 6 x 3
DB Clean and Press 15 x 15 x 1 20 x 15 x 2
Strict Form Hammer Curls 30 x 8 35 x 8 40 x 8
Roman Chair Arching Abs 10 x 3 holding 25# plate

4-27 ME Lower Joey and Rodney came down to train with Travis, LaVan and I. Everyone was benching, except me. Trav did some Olympic stuff, first. Did I tell you guys about his 308# HANG CLEANS last week?! Amazing. Speaking of amazing, Mr. Smith finessed up a sweet 805+chains 3-board on his last attempt tonight. He had a lot more left in him, too. Just being in the presence of great lifters like him makes me stronger. Rodney is nursing a shoulder injury, so he went light. He made some valuable contributions to my lifting tonight, assisting in the in and out of suits (he knows alot about squat/deadlift gear!) and providing some fresh perspective on my lifts. He knows his stuff. Many thanks, Rod! I was supposed to be working up to openers tonight. Here it is: Warm-Up Squat Bar x 3 135 x 3 185 x 2 225 x 1 275 x 1 Briefs On 315 x 1 Add Suit, straps down 365 x 1 Add Knee Wraps , Straps Up A little verbal encouragement from Mr.Smith here, 'cause I was whining about the wraps. "Suck it up and stop being a (what?)!" 405 x 1 a little high, but FAST! DL Suit on, straps down 225 x 1 Sumo 315 x 1 Conventional 405 x 1 Modified (I pulled a little less than this at Clayton on my 3rd) 460 x 1 modified, a little messy locking out Straps up 480 x 1 Good Lift, PR by 45# Hypers 25# x 10 x 1 60# x 10 x 2 Big lifting is big news in Mocksville. When people hear that Mr. Smith and Company are visiting they show up to watch. That's right, we get SPECTATORS. It's kind of strange. But in a good way. Expect a BIG CROWD at the meet in two weeks.

Thanks, Mr. Smith. As of this afternoon at 3:30 the gym was still abuzz about your lifting last night. (Joey got a round of applause from the spectators after the 500 raw and the 805+chains 3-bd!) They do love you down here.
4-28 Just Abs Decline Sit-ups 10 x 4, last three holding 35# plate
Lat Tower AB Pulldowns 110 x 10 x 3
Roman Chair Arching Abs 10 x 2
Travis was doing front squats up to 540. Great job, coach!!
