My training will be on hold for the next two weeks. I have lost enough weight that I have to go in tomorrow for minor surgery to get some skin removed. I won’t be able to train at all for two weeks and I won’t be able to train my upper body for around six weeks. Since this isn’t something my training can address I am looking forward to getting this done. I hate the idea of setbacks in my training but I think in the long run it will be worth it.

Wow Chad, those are some impressive weight losses!
Don't get uptight about not getting to train -- you've got all the time in the world, just be patient!

Thanks, my pants are 20 sizes smaller now so I suppose when that happens having some loose skin is unavoidable. I know you are right about having time to train. I am trying to be smart and not do anything for two weeks. Training has become a big part of my life. I don't really realize it until I can't do it. It is a great stress reliever and a fun part of my day. I know that if I am smart I will be able to get back to it sooner and I will be smart. It is damn annoying though just the same. ;D

Chad, I think it is awesome that you have lost so much weight! It takes major dedication to stick with it like that!!!! I am very proud of you. Good luck with the surgery, I know it will make you feel even better about yourself once you are healed!!

The surgery went fine and I got cleared by my doctor to start doing some cardio and lower body resistance training. The first couple days I will ease back into it.
Wednesday 10-11-2006
PM - Cardio
Treadmill (30 min @ 120 heartrate)
Thursday 10-12-2006
AM - Cardio/Legs
Treadmill (30 min @ 120 heartrate) 2 Sets of BW Lunges 3 Sets of 10lb dumbbell Lunges 3 Wall Chairs Some flutterkicks
The leg workout was only thirty minutes but it was a good one. Each set of lunges had at least 50 reps so it was a high rep workout. I tried to focus on pausing between each rep and that targeted the hamstrings.
