I posted this here because I felt like it will be deleted once read. I replied to this on NSP due to a discussion on RAW, tested, non tested, this and that....I was infuriated by some of the replies going on so I felt propelled to respond....I feel everyone is allowed to make their own choices....I also feel we are different(duh) why cant this sport just be supported here in NC where there is so many quality people and lifters?....maybe there are some that just refuse to want that....I see that as stupidity....some feel as though their dictatorship rules must be observed I guess....have an open mind when reading this....
I do not normally reply to dramatized issues such as these but I can not help but wonder allot things about about certain peoples values here on this forum. I also must believe that this post will be deleted for my opinion as well. I hope not. This is America and I will utilize my free speech at this time. I try my best to support this sport of our to my fullest capacity. Open minded and opened to new ideas and training methods. I can not understand the Christian values that there seems to be lacking on a board where it is suppose to to be paramount. I have never encouraged drug use of any kind but for me to condemn a person for something and place them under a category of plaque like exile is not the Christian nor is it Gods way. Whom are we to judge whom are we to condemn? If you do not like the station playing change it. If you do not like the movie on TV turn it off. If you have problems with a person work them out and go on with your life and stop tearing them down. Too many times people judge too quickly and most of the time they are wrong. I have been at fault for this many times. If someone smokes should I hate them? If someone lies in the sun or tanning bed should I shun them away? If a woman will not have a mammogram should I call her stupid and stomp on her beliefs? Should I tell the 300# woman at McDonald who just ordered a double whopper and a large fries with a diet Coke she will burn in hell because she is contributing to Americas number one killer? What about someone who drives a Ford over Chevy? Heresy I say! If you choose Raw tested fine, Equipped tested fine, RAW untested fine, Equipped non tested fine too. There are choices for a reason. This is what makes the world go round. We all have choices we can make. Destroying others for their choice and beliefs is a choice too. Allot of youth read these forums and read into allot of the reflections of the adults who type their deliberate on slaught of the human psyche. Remember Christians you are not the judge and jury....He is. Set an example for others to follow not to fall in. Many people I train with and admire are bullseye marks for these foolish destructive remarks. These are people with jobs, families, church goers, and people I respect. Maybe we should ban all people of color why we are at it. Hold up as a country we already do that. Remember folks we took this country from the soul propriotors....the Indians....oh yeah we killed them off because they were different and were not like "us". Take a look in the mirror you have to live with yourself each day. I do not. I am not perfect by any means, but I try my best to be a supporter not a basher of everyone who is not like me. I am friends with a few members on here and you guys know what I am about. I am not trying to offend nor disgruntle any of you with such firm beliefs. There are so many other things to push so much fortification into besides condemning and hating. There are much better ways to teach and there are so many more ways to learn. So instead of turning your back on a fellow lifter or better yet a fellow human being be mindful. We are all Gods creation. Not a selective group. Don't be a hypocrite either. Boost morale. Negativity is a poison. Remember why you have a remote for the TV?, ....so you can change the station to something else. Make better choices at being a good person and positivity will follow I promise. Here are some interesting things to read on about death in America and what leads the way. Lets look at real problems and addressee them. Thanks for reading this.
Cigarettes kill more than four hundred thousand Americans each year.
Yet, despite this startling fact, unless we take action, 30 percent of our children will be smokers by the time they leave high school. 30 percent.
Smoking is the number one preventable cause of death in America.
Nicotine in cigarettes is highly addictive. Medical experts say that it is as addictive as heroin or cocaine. Yet for decades, tobacco companies have vehemently denied the addictiveness of their products. No one can forget the parade of tobacco executives who testified under oath before Congress that smoking cigarettes is not addictive. Overwhelming evidence in industry documents obtained through the discovery process proves that the companies not only knew of this addictiveness for decades, but actually relied on it as the basis for their marketing strategy. As we now know, cigarette manufacturers chemically manipulated the nicotine in their products to make it even more addictive.
The number one cause of death in America continues to be cardiovascular disease. It takes more lives, of both men and women, than any other major cause of death including cancer and stroke. Although cardiovascular disease is largely preventable, many people continue to disregard the advice to lead a healthier lifestyle.
AIDS is the number one cause of death for Black women in their childbearing years and three out of every four women with AIDS in America are women of color.
The FACTS impacting women and children of color:
-- African Americans constitute 12% of the United States population, yet represent over 31% of the nation's AIDS epidemic
-- 80% of all children and 74% of all women with AIDS in America are Black or Latino
-- In the next four years, more than 125,000 children will be orphaned or left behind as a result of losing one or both parents to AIDS, 80% (10,000) of whom will be Black or Latino.
"NO LONGER CAN WOMEN AND CHILDREN OF COLOR CONTINUE TO BE 70% OF THE EPIDEMIC, BUT ONLY 10% OF THE FUNDING"
Breast cancer is the number one cause of death in women in America today between 40-55 years of age. 192,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. Of newborn baby girls in the United States in 1995, one in eight will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. These are nothing less than staggering statistics.
Definition of Steroid
Steroid: A general class of chemical substances that are structurally related to one another and share the same chemical skeleton (a tetracyclic cyclopentaphenanthrene skeleton).
Many hormones, body constituents, and drugs are steroids. Thus, the term steroid may carry many meanings. For example, steroids may refer to the corticosteroid drugs such as prednisone used to reduce swelling, pain, and other symptoms of inflammation. Vitamin D is a steroid, too, one that is necessary to normal health. The male hormone testosterone and its derivatives are steroids with anabolic effects that can be used medically (or illicitly) to build up muscle mass.
Cholesterol is yet again another steroid. In fact, the word steroid was coined in 1926 to refer to compounds like the sterols (as in cholesterol).
In addition, the legitimate use of anabolic steroids for a variety of medical problems also continues, ranging from the treatment of Andropause or Menopause, and ranging from speeding the recovery in burn victims to helping improve quality of life in Aids patients, to helping fight breast cancer and stave off osteoporosis.
Bottom line lift in events suited for you. Stop adding to the problems of negativity and do something different....bring a positive attitude!
This food for thought.
