MAR. 10 - Training Notes
I received my diabetes medication yesterday and started taking it today. My family doc has me on one pill a day for 90 days. He has me on Metformin. This is temporary and I will go back to controlling my diabetes with diet and exercise.

MAR. 11 - DE BP
Rotator Cuff Work
Blast Strap Pushups - 3x10
Clay Lats - 100x3x10
DE BP w/80lbs of chain - 185x6x3
5 Board Press 315x5 405x3 405x0
Single Arm DB Press - 40x3x10
CSR 3 plates x10 4 plates x2x10
Hammer Curls - 40x30
Sled Dragging - 45lbs x4 trips alt. forward & backward
My workout today didn't go so great. Something happened to the mid to lower par of my left trap while sleeping. I slept with my arm over my head. It hurts when I turn my head to the left and working out today made it worse. I will see a chiropractor tomorrow. I think the injury has shut some muscles down. I was very weak on board presses.

MAR. 12 - Cardio
Semi Recumbent Bike - 30 min.
AM Bodyweight = 246lbs
Today makes day 14 on my diet. The weight is not coming off as easy as in the past. I think part of it has to do with my poor diabetic control. I got back on track and started this diet. I will be on diabetic medication for 90 days to get control over my blood glucose levels. In the past I controlled it with just diet and exercise. Once my blood glucose levels are back in control, I will stop the medication and go back to controlling it through diet and exercise. My eating habits were bad and I am back on track. I also slacked off on cardio 4th quarter of last year. I am committed to improving my health and have made it top priority.

MAR. 14 - Training Notes
I went to a chiropractor Monday about my upper back problem. He adjusted my back and it felt better. I went back on Tuesday for a follow up and additional adjusting. My back is feeling a lot better. Tonight is my max effort bench workout so I will see if everything is alright with my upper back. It shut some muscles down and affected my workout Sunday.

Looks like you been busy, judging from your logs Phil. I was hoping to meet you this year bro, but I totally understand the plague of injuries. Thankfully I been doing good far as that is concerned, no matter Phil keep kicking ass!

Thankfully I been doing good far as that is concerned, no matter Phil keep kicking ass! I was looking forward to meeting you. It was cool meeting Joey last year. This will payoff for me at AWPC Worlds. I will have time for a good training cycle. I am all healed up and training is going well. Seniors is a serious meet and I don't want to compete if I am not on my game 100%. I plan on being there next year.
