this isn't really powerlifting but i played in a charity golf tournament today (the reason i didn't lift yesterday) and had a lot of fun. the format was captains choice and my team shot 63 with a net of 54. we had fun but didn't win, i think we were around 5th or so. my highlights were driving 3 par 4's (254 up steep hill 10 ft from the pin, 305 right edge 30 feet from pin and 374 just off left edge 40 feet from pin), getting on 3 par 5's in 2 but barely missing 3 eagle putts. had a couple putts over 15 feet fall so i was pretty happy.

Pullin +500# and driving the greens (up hill no less). Way to go. Must be that mountain air, or water, or you’re just one strong dude? Maybe all three.

Watched your videos from your IB meet Derek, nice work by the way. Once thing I wanted to add for bench and this is just mere observation; try setting your legs a little more under you ass when you set up, you really can get much more drive in that position. Joey and Chris have pointed this out to me before, so little at a time I just moved my legs in with each session. Just an observation bro not dissin your lifting by no means, always feel if someone can benefit I always point things out.

dk if anyone noticed but the reason i haven't posted in my journals is because i have a meet coming up. i've always been paranoid about posting workouts and numbers the last couple weeks before a meet so i just don't. not real sure why but i just feel weird about it. probably just paranoid someone will be able to stratagize around my weak points or something but i dk. anywho i'll post results after this weekend and this week i won't go any heavier than 135 on anything if i do anything at all. check back in saturday night!

easing back into it today with some light stuff bar x10 135x5 225 3x8 it was sad i almost died on these! i hadn't done any sets over 5 reps including warm ups in months! my legs hate me now but i'll have to face them in the morning . leg extensions 100 3x20 hypers 45 plate 3x15 to many reps for me, body shutting down. tanning bed 1 set of 15 reps suck majorly, i probably wont make it to day light!

Reps may suck Derek, but they do equal stamina and that helps tremendously bro.

easing into the bench same way i did with squat monday. didn't arch like normal today, instead i arched up but kept my feet flat, it increases my ROM by about 3 inches but doesn't put the stress on my shoulders like flat back benching does. this should help my speed off the chest fully arched.
rotator cuff work 5 lb plate
bench bar x8 95x 10 getting used to the odd form 135x5 same thing 150 (60ish%) 3x8 reps again were killer but in a good way
the light weight rep thing sucks and i hate it and i wish it would die and go away so id never have to do it. ok short rant
skull crushers 85 3x8 reminded me of why i never do them, killed my shoulders and not in a good way
quick twitch shrugs 275 3x12 fun as all get out!
stability ball leg raises 3x15
not a bad day besides the shoulders aching a bit, reps suck
