Oh man Dale my guess would be doing your weight for reps every 2 weeks or so. That is an entirely different beast to tackle, but like I said you have a damn great start already!

Thanks Mike and Joey....I thinks that's a good idea Mike every 2 weeks then I can work my raw bench for 3-5 reps heavy on my off week. One guy suggested doing mini bands with light weight for volume and I think I'm going to try that too.
I'm going to shoot for 25 reps with my body weight. I think that would be pretty good for my age.

Monday 7-3-06
Rotator Cuff - 5 lbs. x 10 reps x 3 sets
Reverse Band Press- Warm ups - up to 385 lbs. x 5 reps (all paused) 2 Board 405 lbs. x 5 reps 1 Board 435 lbs. x 3 reps 455 lbs. x 2 reps 475 lbs. x 1 rep Note: All reps paused
No Bands - 225 lbs. x 10 reps
I wanted to do some btw. volume work but I keep hitting the clips on the rack and it keep throwing me off, so I said fuck it! My back is still bothering me some so that's all I did. I'm starting to notice a little strength loss since I lost 12 pounds. I guess thats expected!
Everyone have a great 4th!!

Thursday 7-6-06
Rotator Cuff - 5 lbs. x 10 reps x 5 sets
Front & Side Laterals- Superset 10 lbs. x 10 reps x 3 sets
Speed Bench w/db. minis 165 lbs. x 3 reps x 8 sets Note: Good speed
Volume Bench Press w/ db. minis 165 lbs. x 15 reps x 3 sets
Bicep & Forearm Curls- Superset (1)65 lbs. x 12 reps (EZ Curl Bar) 30 lbs. x 12 reps (Reverse Curls) (2)85lbs. x 10 reps (EZ Curl Bar) (30 lbs. x 10 reps (Reverse Curls) (3)95 lbs. x 7 reps (EZ Curl Bar) 30 lbs. x 10 reps (Reverse Curls)
Rope Push Downs - 1 arm 65 lbs. x 15 reps x 3 sets
Seated Rows - Medium grip 120 lbs. x 10 reps x 2 sets
That's all...My back was starting to hurt a little so I quit for the night. Great workout though....got some speed bench in and some volume reps. Chris gave me an idea about trying some volume benching with some light weight and minis...I liked it. I think I did pretty good considering I have never done this before. I did 3 sets x 15 reps with 165 lbs. w/ db. minis. I could have done more but I'm not looking to go to failure at this time. Each week I'm either going to increase the bar weight a little or add more reps (rotating every other week). I'm also working on my breathing and speed, that's probably the most important thing in doing your body weight for max reps.
I was watching this guy bench tonight (I never saw him before) and he was warming up with 315 and made it look like 135. He then did 385 for multi reps. I started talking with the dude and he wants to workout with me. He told me he knew who I was. He claims he has benched 610 raw. He's 25 years old and plays Semi Pro football in Harrisburg PA. So hopfully this guy shows up next week...I'm so tired of working out alone.

Sunday 7-9-06
Body weight...218 lbs. Age 55
Rotator Cuff - 5 lbs. x 15 reps x 3 sets
Bench Press worked up to 275 x 5 reps 315 lbs. x 1 rep 325 lbs. x 1 rep 335 lbs. x 1 rep Note; all paused 325 lbs. x 3 reps 225 lbs. x 16 reps Note; I did not go to failure here, had a few reps left in me. I'm working mostly on my breathing and speed (timing). I have to remember...just because the weight feels light not to go fast with the barbell. I have to learn to pace myself. I feel confident that if I train right I'll get my numbers up. I'm also using a thumbless grip too, it's giving me a little more tricep in the lockouts. I'm picking up little things each week and I'm having fun with it. Hopfully the end result will be a world record!
Lat Pull Downs - Hammer Strength 140 lbs. x 10 reps x 3 sets Used a reverse grip....
Face Pulls - Rope 100 lbs. x 10 reps x 3 sets
That's all....
