first off i suck at using it, i get about 50 from my shirt and so far 80 from my suit but my support goes away when i put up the straps (i think the suit is to short for me) and i'm not real sure how much i get from it in deadlift. the squat suit i think i could use better if the straps were longer. the bench shirt has always been a mystery to me though. i've pulled the back up and the front down left the sleeves out toward my elbows more among other things but all i can seem to get out of it is 50 pounds. i recently changed my bar descent and that helped a good bit. i'm just looking for any general tips on any of these things.

Well, I would have to say that using gear is almost like a seperate sport. I would recommend you practice using gear more. If you need longer straps so be it. Your suit may simply be too agressive for your style. Some people regaurdless of their ability really do not need a suit that hits very hard. Tadpole has a Metal Ace squatter right now, and I must say that it keeps throwing him around. He is stronger than shit, but when he uses that suit it pitches him forward, and causes him to rebound about halfway through a squat. He has good enough stability to use that damn thing with the straps down. Also you are a lighter lifter if memory serves me. Why use a suit that takes 800 lbs to drop in the hole when you can not squat 800 lbs? That was Tadpole's reasoning when I ordered my equipment. So my gear fits a little looser than some, but is perfect for my level of strength and my skill.

Mr Smith or Cook would be more knowledgeable than I about bench shirts.
