We are planning an event to honor Vietnam Veterans. Our Best Lifter Awards will be very nice and theme specific. My question for the ladies is:
If you won one of our Best Lifter Awards would you rather have your award feature a figure of a Vietnam Era soldier or a Vietnam Era Nurse? Females were not allowed in combat during the Vietnam War as they are now.
Please talk to me ladies!
Thank you! Poppy

i'm not a lady, (maybe of the evening) but i'd be interested in lifting in that. my dad was a vietnam vet and that would be really cool to bring home to him if i won it.

Im sure my answer is not going to be much help. I believe either would be an honor. Our men were risking their lives each and everyday, the nurses that were there were helping to take care of them.

Just a comment, I think that it is really cool that you are organizing a meet to honor Vietnam Veterans. Where will the meet be held?

Thanks Stacey, Derek and Maxon! I will post the details as soon as the sanctioning body approves all our promotional materials. Sorry Derek but it will be a one day bench only meet limited to 100 lifters. We want a big number of lifters to compliment the throngs of spectators that we are expecting. This tribute to our Vietnam Veterans promises to be an annual event. Next year it will be a two day, three lift competition.
