Chris was admitted yesterday to Baptist due to heart problems. I went by today and spoke with Chris and Donna but he couldnt have visitors for very long.
Chris could use his friends support right now. He's having some procedures on Monday and the two of them are rightfully scared to death right now.
With most of us living a similar life style this could be anyone of us.
Being that this is Easter weekend, EVERYONE should have a little extra time to go by and check on "Heavy".
He and his family need the support.

He got to come home today.
I cant beleive that no more people replied than this.
Please dont think for one minute that it couldnt be one of us in the same shape. If we cant be able to put aside our past differences long enough to check on one of our peers, something is fucking wrong. Chris is not healed or close to it yet. How hard is it to swallow our pride and let stuff go.
Im friends with everybody in this sport thick or thin. I may get on peoples nerves as much as theyget on mine; but I dont want to go to any fucking funerals any time soon. So everybody please take a minute and realize just how petty our dissagreements are normally.
I have alot in common with Chris outside of lifting. I love the guy like he's my family. In the last year we've walked similar paths in our lives. I hope that if I'm kickin' deaths door that I can rely on what I consider my buddies to be there.
I hope nobody takes offense to any of this (normally I couldnt care less); but I hope and pray ALL of us get to see each others kids grow up along with our own. How hard would it be to pick up the phone and see how Chris is doing?

Barry, Maybe just maybe some people have tried to call him or contact him, just because 40 people have not responded to this does not mean 40 people have not contacted or tried to contact him. Should everyone call you after contacting him to ease your mind that people are contacting him. Assuming this and sentencing everyone the guilt trip is not the right thing to do either, don't jump to conclusions or your no better than the before mentioned... Chris is in all of our prayers....I hope the best for him and his family....  |

Thanks, Barry i got to talk to chris yesterday on the phone a bit and he was surprisingly upbeat even though he was sounding tired. i know the procedure today didn't go exactly as planned as they didn't find what they were looking for but i really hope chris does what he needs to, to better his health. like you said barry i sure as hell don't want to go to any funerals soon. |
