Joe Mazza benched 625 pounds on Saturday at the IPA Pennsylvania Power Challenge. The effort moves Mazza into second place on the all-time list in the 165 pound weight class, behind only Markus Schick's 650 pound bench. Mazza attempted 660 pounds on his second and third attempts but failed to lock them out. If successful he would have become only the second person to bench quadruple his bodyweight (Schick being the other).
