Me and Lynn Hodges had a good little chuckle today at my expense, which was deserved. Last Thursday I had a great squat workout, hit a pr in the squat & dead lift. After my accessory work Friday I was shot and sore as hell. For some unknown reason I felt like I could go back to the barn Monday and have a speed squat session. Boy was I wrong, and the bad part is I was given all the signs that I needed one more day off leading up to me going. Sign #1- I didn't fell like going. Sign #2- god even step in on this one, I'd been trying to get there since 9:30 that morning but things at work (this is the god part) kept coming up not allowing me to go until 2:45 when I finally made it. I even thought to myself I wonder if this is a sign? Duh!! Sign #3 When I had to get my favorite song and jack the radio up as loud as it would go just to do 145 w/ blue bands for 3. This is when I finally gave in and left. Guys please if your tried, sore or just not in to it on any particular night take it off! Go get a beer, something to eat or just go home I promise you'll be glad you did. You've got alot to lose and nothing to gain by staying in the gym when you fell like shit and don't want to be there. Save it for the next time and be glad of it. Lynn cracked on me by saying didn't you just tell me not to do everything you just did, and I had no come back at all because he was right. One day maybe I'll practice what I preach.

Hey Bro next time you are questioning yourself you need to ask yourself whether or not you would recommend the same to one of us. I would bet that you wouldn't tell me or Spayd to squat(w/ triple bands per side) and dead heavy on Thurs., drag the sled on Fri, then come in on Mon. and squat again with bands nonetheless.
