those things sound good. i'd throw in heavy static holds, deadlifts with a fat bar. if you don't have a fat bar take some of the neck pads (or poo nanner pads) and hold them while deadlifting. you can put baby powder on your hands to make it work grip more also. but mainly throw away the straps entirely until you can hold atleast 100lbs over your max comfortably. your forearms are a part of your grip but you should try working your fingers seperately also as they are the main components of grip strength. you can also try using a hook grip. here is a good article on the hook grip. tomgorman.moonfruit.com/hookgrip

Another thing that helped my grip is to hold a hex dumbell by the head for static holds. Try to hold longer each time then when you get to around 30 seconds, move up in weight. You can also grip a plate by the ring and static hold. My goal is to one day oick up a 45 this way. Ah, to dream the almost impossible dream.

When you first start to pull heavy, I think you reach a certain limit mentally where your CNS is saying “holy shit I have never held this much weight in my hands before”! So you need to overcome that first barrier by squeezing the bar like your life depends on it. After you overcome that first barrier then some of the recommendations listed above about building grip strength come in to play. Just my 2 cents.
Also, the large handles on Kettlebells make them great for building grip strength.
