I weigh between 205 and 210. I need to realistically be around 180-185. I put on weigh easy and find it had to take off... I am a carb junky, diet pepsi freak and all around world class eating shithead... ok, I need help.
I want to lose the weight while trying to maintain muscle and strength... (dont we all).
other stats... I am 44 with no metabolism, need to stay low on fats because tryglerides are high as well as high colesteral, and I am a diabetic ( its under control even with my shity diet). I know, your all wondering shit, he should be dead with all this.. well fuck you, I am still alive...
So what I need is someone to tell me when and what to eat in specific terms... I cant follow.. eat 2500 calories and 300 grams of protien.. I am diet stupid...I also need to be able to maintain this lifestyle.
so help me please. thanks
mark

What do you eat now? My suggestion would be to start tracking what you eat and posting it on the board. For the first week don't make any changes just record what you are eating now. I think that is the best way to start. You can't know where you are going until you know where you are. Oh and I sympathize with the fact that you want to be told exactly what to eat (I am kind of like that also) but that approach won't work in the long run. You need to adjust what you eat now and make it more consistent with your training goals.

Hi Mark, I agree with Chad, tracking every bite you eat for the next couple of weeks can really help you start to pick out trends. Some people eat "bad" foods under times of stress. Others nibble mindlessly when bored and sometimes don't even realize that they are eating. I used to have to write down every bite that I ate, I was a bored nibbler and also a major carb junkie! It really helped me to know what times of day were the hardest for me and to eat a healthy snack before that time came around so that I am not hungry...hope this helps I am sure Hannah will get you started on the right path! ~staceyj

mark, let's fix the basics first: are you eating consistently? are you eating enough? are the majority of your carbs high or low glycemic? (see my thread on this to determine) how much protein are you getting? how many calories/ day are you eating? what times of the day are you most active? answer these and post a food journal. then we'll fix one thing at a time. in order for this to be a lifestyle change and not a quick-fix, we need to make your changes small, realistic and measureable. ~MINX
