I don't know who on here's Christians, heathens, pagans, etc. But if your selected religion allows you to pray, then take a minute and mention Kyle. His leg is fixable and and he still plans on hitting it again. So please don't count him out. Kyle is a good friend to most of us, and a Helluva lifter. He'll be back .

he was trying to break in a new canvas suit with no knee wraps. doubled 950 and his knee gave out at the bottom; tore his mcl, patellar tendon and some other stuff. he'll be fine, just needs lots of rest. his being young and healthy helps a LOT... ~MINX

Best of luck to him. I wish him the best and empathize...it takes a LOT of torque to tear a patella tendon.

Yeah he just needs reconstructive surgery!! If you consider that minor you are on LSD or really just don't know much. I feel awful bad for him. He made a mistake, and it will be costly. Kyle Robertson is a young strong athlete. I hope to god he heals up. It will be a hard road to travel. I talked to one of his doctors today as a matter of fact. He is about to have a pretty damn elite team of experts to rebuild his knee. Several different procedures must be done at once. He has destroyed I believe 2 ACL's and some other stuff. He is going to have some dead people parts implanted in his knee. Tadpole was standing there with me and can varify that I am not talking out my ass. You keep Kyle in your prayers or what ever it is you may happen to do. He has been bench pressing and is even taking off his knee brace and moving his leg. His doctor said that is great because he, has to ROM before they can do the procedures it will take to get him going again. Kyle wears a shirt in the gym that says don't just stand there die trying. He is living up to it.

Wow that is amazing, to have those knee issues and to be facing that kind of surgery and still he is lifting. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

wade who are you talking to? no one said the injury was minor, everyone is just trying to be optimistic. trust me, i've worked in one of the best rehab facilities in the nation, and i know EXACTLY how hard it is to come back from reconstruction. but i have seen it done, and with kyle's attitude and determination (and good doctors) there is a very good chance he'll make it back. "dead people parts" is cadavar tissue, and it's the best way to go for any surgery short of total replacement. sounds like kyle has good help and good support, and he's going to need it. BTW, correct me if I'm wrong, but i do believe there is only ONE ACL tendon in the knee... ~MINX

I put this on here after talking to Kyle this week . I should have gotten Joey to lock the thread to leave it as it was. Kyles leg is fucked up, he's going to Duke to have it repaired, he can compete again after the surgery. I'm glad he's got guys like Worm, Wade, Brett, and Pinder down there to help im' out. As long as he heals up, that's all that matters!

anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Yeah one ACL but there is a PCl. People confuse them. They work oposite each other in the knee. I also know a few things about knees and knee injuries. That is the number 1 thing that takes Paratroopers out of the Army. I personally know 2 people with complete replacements, of the knee 1 other guy with "dead people parts," (forgot the proper spelling). 2 of these guys were card carrying phsycopaths, and one was your average Joe. None of them have been the same since. No doubt Kyle will heal, and most I certainly hope like hell he does so in a timely manner. No matter what though stuff like this stays with you. I should no I have been through a torn pec, hernia surgery, and a collapsed disc. Still serves as a good lesson to remember that know one is above getting hurt. Thanks Minx for straightening me out. I just could not do it with out you.

I tell ya for no one here to have a PHD (except Mike White that is!) there sure does seem to be allot of knowledge and linguistically background being dropped here. People get hurt all the time in this sport. Its part of the deal. We take chances every time we walk in the gym or even every time we get out of bed for that reason! Life is about chances and risks. Kyle knew he was taking a risk doing this lift without chains and knee wraps. Now he lives with the aftermath. Everyone dropping big words and arguing over what this word means and that word means was not the purpose in this. Everyone seems to have inside knowledge on this and I am sure Kyle does not want this issue blown into a full blown argument over who knows what and how and whatever. Facts: Kyle is hurt Kyle will have surgery Kyle will have dead people parts put in him ;D Kyle will not be competing at the WPO Worlds Kyle will have to rehab and recover Kyle will lift again one day if he choses to Kyle will deal with this in his own way
Those are the facts most other things are speculations, how fast he recovers, when he will lift again, how he will deal with this, what kinda ice cream he likes....he needs support not speculations theorists....he will heal in due time....now lets get this much energy into other topics on this board!....get well soon Kyle....
