I know that using a back arch on your bench helps alot, but how bad is it for your discs? It seems like an awkward position for the lumbar. Also, how do I practice it?Ive heard that pvc pipe helps.........

IF YOU GET A FOOTBALL AND PUT IT UP UNDER YOUR LOWER BACK WHEN YOU DO SOME LIGHT BENCHING YOU CAN START FEELING MORE COMFORTABLE WITH THE ARCH.

well i've got a bulging L5 right now which causes my half my left foot to be numb so i can't arch anymore. the doc told me it was horrible to do but he said the same thing about powerlifting so stretch good and have at it man.
