what seam should be cut and resewn on a metal v-type squatter to tighten the hips and legs without compromising its v shape?

Now that is a good question Derek I have never done a hip adjustment before, but have done the straps and made Velcro conversions before. Personally I would just wear briefs under the suit for more support and that should close the hip area up. This all depends on your federation and if they allow briefs. If this equipment must be altered then I would cut the side seems, basically cut into two pieces just as it is before assembled. The proper amount of material will be cut away and if it is a double ply suit the material will have the adhesive bound pealed back. That way when you sew the suit back together you can double overlay the material with your sewing machine and finish all seems plus this provides a good reinforcement stitch as well. Keep in mind that this would be a fairly advanced job to do, but it can be done!

my suit is single ply and briefs arent an option unfortunately. god knows i wouldn't be doing this myself! that seems like the best way to do it, i'll have this done soon hopefully and have a good suit to pull in!

Derek also an easy fix is pinching, I forgot to mention till Chris Clark E-mailed me. Pinching is just folding the material and sewing it together, sorry bro I had my DSS on (Down Syndrome Switch).
