I thought I would throw a quick post up for those who may not know me. My name is Len Walker and I live in Maryland. I first met a group of the NC lifters when I came down for one of Jeff McVicar's seminars a few years back. Cooke, Clark, JP, Kyle, and several others welcomed me as if I had been there all my life and I immediately liked the camaraderie you all share. Since then I have tried to make it down to train, lift, and help at meets at least a few times per year. I gain valuable knowledge every time I make the trip and it has helped my lifting far more than many of you may ever know. I joined the board here to stay in touch with everyone and to keep up with coming events in NC. Hopefully, I can add some things to this board from an outside perspective that will help all of you and help to repay the debt I feel is owed for the gains I have made from you. For those who haven't met me yet, I will be making the trip to lift at the NC state meet January 27 so I hope to meet you there.
As for my lifting resume, I got into the sport in 2003. I lifted in a couple of different federations before making the move to APF/AAPF. I compete as a 165 Open/M-1 lifter and usually weigh around 170-175. I currently hold all of the Virginia APF 165 records and, being a new resident to Maryland, am looking to set some new records here. My best lifts are 540 Sq, 365 Bp, 501 Dl. My current goals are to qualify for WPC worlds and to set the new American AAPF 165 M-1 squat, bench, total records by going 605, 400, 550 for a 1555 total. Long term goal is to total elite.
Again, I hope to meet many more of you and if I can ever be of help to any of you, don't be afraid to holler.
