My name is Hannah, and i am a 23 yr-old female living in Greensboro, NC. In case anyone is wondering my training partner back home called me "The MINX" and it stuck, so that is the mystery of my username. figured i should address it since i've gotten 3 PM's about it lol...
i own Total Body Turnaround, LLC, a fitness bootcamp and personal training service. i've been running bootcamps for almost 6 years. i graduated from UNCG in 2005 and have been full-time personal training for Gold's Gym for a year now. i love my job!
For awhile i lifted at ac fitness with mike white and a few others. i've always been strong and i love to lift heavy, so when mike mentioned East Coast Barbell i went and had a great time. it was there that i met my coach OX and his wife kristy. i honestly have to give ox and kristy all of the credit for my getting started in this sport, because without their encouragement i wouldn't have even considered competing. there was a lot going on and that was a time in my life that i still look back on with sadness, but fire can either temper you or destroy you. i decided to be tempered and as a result i got stronger, both physically and mentally. ECBB shut down and i traveled with ox to granite city, where i met the entire GCBB crew and their awesome families.
it's tough to admit, but i've never felt that i "belonged" anywhere until now. there have been some very difficult times, but i have definitely come to realize the value of a team. i've seen the way that everyone supports each other; i feel like i could call on any one of my teammates if i needed help and i hope they feel the same. i am excited at the way my numbers are progressing, and i am thankful to have met so many awesome people. ok, enough about me. i may add more later, but i have to go pull the sled now...
