Just a little about me...
Hmmm where to start, I am on a new journey of reinventing myself, I recently had a huge interruption in my training, several months of not doing much of anything. I went through a seperation from my husband, the job with the micro managing boss from hell. I realized I was so depressed I didnt know right from left. Then I lost my best friend in the world, no he didnt die but he is dead to me. That devastated me! I have never felt that kind of emotional pain in my life. I had a breakthrough though late one sunday night when after drinking lots of vodka and taking lots of pills that I wanted to live! I quit my job of 4 years at the YMCA, went through a training and liscensing process to sale insurance, and got a gym membership outside of the YMCA. Since then I have started from the beginning in my training that sucks!
I started training with Joey around the first of July 2006 I loved it!!!! I ask myself quite often why I never tried heavier weight years ago....I see the results in so many different ways, I am of course much stronger, the muscles are beginning to show so much growth and definition, but most importantly I am more confident than I have ever been in my life. Even when I was rock climbing to over 300 hundred feet in the air I didn't feel the sense of accomplishment that I do now, (and I'm afraid of heights!). I am so thankful that my life has followed the path that it has, I believe everything I have done in the last 3 years has prepared me for this. I am a certified yoga instructor in the Iyengar tradition of yoga with a focus on yoga for theraputic applications. I am also a certified pilates, water fitness, and swim instructor, and swim team coach. I am also a certified American safety and Health Institute Instructor teaching First Aid CPR and Oxygen Administration and AED use. I have been focusing mainly on my bench but love deadlifting as well, I plan on focusing more on that in the coming months.
I competed in my first meet in January 2007, it was awesome!!!! I am hooked!
