Unofficial reports have been circulating that Dondell Blue hit an all-time Record squat and total in the 220 class on October 28 at an event sanctioned by Ron Palmer's Midwest Powerlifting Federation (MPF). Blue totalled 2,500 pounds at the event, squatting 1,050, benching 700, and deadlifting 750 pounds. The 2,500 pound total shatters Travis Mash's previous record of 2,414 pounds. The 1,050 pound squat betters the 1,030 pound effort of Brian Carroll from last weekend.
Here is video of the 700 pound bench press and the 750 pound deadlift. The same poster promises video of Blue's 1,050 pound spot.

When I saw the comments on the net, I just laughed out loud, really loud. For some people, I will try to answer your questions as brief as I can, with a little more accurate point of view. I would like to take the time to thank all of the lifters who support me on the comment side of things.......Adam Drigger...Toby Irby...Clint Smith..Charles Bailey....Lester E....and a host of other guys. If I missed any one, please let me know. To the guy who said......"Back then they didn't want me, now I'm hot they all on me". You hit it right on the head..lol lol lol. I am a GOD fearing man and will not say anything negative about some of the things people said on this site or other sites that I saw. I know who wrote some of those bad and negative comments, however I don't hate the guy. People sometimes fear what they dont know, and thats cool with me. I am a recently born again Christian. I love everyone good or bad. As you can see, powerlifting ISN'T first in my life. It's just a hobby to me. I work a 65 hour a week job and have very little time for any thing else in my life. On to the questions. Yes, the squat video will be in by the end of this week. The footage we originally had was a little blurry, so we wanted to get the best one out there, so be a little patient. Yes, it is deep in the hole like all my other squats. When you negative talking guys see the footage, be a real man and GIVE ME MY PROPS !!! Yes, I am very strong with out the gear. How strong u ask? Email me and I will send you some footage. I'm sure you will be amazed. I only were single and double ply gear. If you're ever at one of my meets, I don't mine showing you. My deadlift suit is always single ply. I did not do the semi-finals because it was a little hard on my pockets. I had already qualified for the finals. The meet in Indiana was paid for in advance by a friend. I dont rely on a judge to give me a lift. Either I get the lift or I dont get the lift, simple. No question lifting that's my way of thinking. Some people don't know me because I don't get very much magazine exposure, if any at all. I was a WPO competitor at the first WPO ever. My member # is 1. Yes, I was the first to sign up when it came out. For the weigh in at this meet, it was a 24 hour weigh in and I have it on footage. Email me and I will send it to you. I know where that question came from because I only told one guy anything about that. lol lol lol. The footage of the meet was on Yahoo Videos the next day after the meet. Sorry if I didn't break my neck to make sure you saw it any sooner lol lol lol. Where was the 1025 squat record set at, when Chuck Vogalpol set it? Was that a National or World meet? Oh you don't know, let me help you, IPA? Have you saw the footage yet, thats what I thought, lol lol lol? Great squat Chuck, you are a freak of nature, you have always impressed me. PS I don't hydrate on anything but water, salt tabs, Powerade, weightgainer, and a lot of food. Whoever said that, you dont know me. Hey Mr. Anonymous, I'll see you on the platform in March!!! IF YOU CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT, THEN STAY OFF THE PLATFORM lol lol lol!!! I don't hate you bro, I'll still give you the shirt off my back. On my next meet, I will do a 2,550 total at 232LBS at The Southern States. Be there on 12/03/06 in Lake City, Florida. I AM THE KING OF THE 220 WEIGHT CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
