The 320 miss that you had today has had me thinking a lot this afternoon. As soon as you unracked the weight, I saw the look in your eyes and it was of trepidation and the lift was really over before it started because you were intimidated by the band tension or something. The next time you tried it, you were more determined and although you didn’t touch the box, it came up fast. I know you can get that lift. All the time and effort we put into ME and DE, accessory work, GPP, supplements and whatnot and at the end of the day sometimes the difference in getting the lift and not getting it is all mental. Just a thought. It was great training with you and Buddie today. preeeeeeeeetty sure he just called you a wuss.

Band Wussy. I already admitted it (see training post). It's an ugly title I'll just have to live with until I redeem myself next week . . .

Thanks, D. I would have done it with a few more bands and about 300# pounds of chain if I'd known you'd be watching . . . Great session Cheryl! That sounds like a great group ya'll had. I need to get in on some of that. Never a dull moment, Greg, and the training atmosphere and camaraderie are off the chain. You are lookin' real strong, Cheryl. Great job! Thanks, Jo. I'm finally adjusting to the weight loss (down 15 from Daytona) and loving the heavy stuff again. 7-10 DE Bench Tuned the Ipod to the Neboen Overlord playlist and hit it hard. Speed Bench, 60% + 4 chains per side Bar+chains x 5 x 1 65+chains x 3 x 1 85+chains x 3 x 1 105+chains x 3 x 1 115+chains x 3 x 8 grips medium, wide, narrow, repeat . . . Flat DB Press 60 x 10, 7 Decline Rock N Rolls 35 x 6 x 4 High Cable Overhead Triceps Extensions 70 x 10 x 4 with Rope Pressdowns 70 x 10 x 4 DB Pushups 3 sets to failure (4 more reps than last time) Seated DB Presses 30 x 10, 9, 8 Hammer Curls (go ahead, make fun) Externally Rotated 25 x 15 x 1 Neutral 30 x 15 x 1 Internally Rotated 40 x 15 x 1 (some big guys were using the 35's ) Lat Pulldowns + Scapular Contractions 110 x 10+10 x 3 Spread Eagle Abs with 45# 15 x 3 Roman Chair Abs 10 x 2 Trying to strengthen the bicep tendons, delt tie-ins, thus the curls and presses. Getting really tired of screwing them up every max bench night!
