Just a little announcement!!! ;D
Greg threw me a surprise birthday party yesterday. He (my sister, the Couicks, etc.) pulled off a great party. I was genuinely surprised and touched that they went through so much trouble for me. About thirty minutes in to the party, the DJ had me come up front and sit in a chair to open my gifts. When I thought I was finished, he told me to sit tight, that there was one more surprise gift. He brought out a large box secured by about 12 rolls of packing tape. After fighting with it for several minutes, someone offered a pocket knife. I managed to get the lid off the box and half a dozen balloons rose up out of it! At that moment Greg came up to my chair, dropped on to his knee, held out an amazing ring, and asked me to marry him!!!! Through teary eyes and a slight quiver in my voice, I accepted. I am still reeling from the whole thing today and I will probably continue to have perma-grin for several days. Soooo, Greg and I would officially like to announce our engagement. We have not set a date yet, but when we do, everyone is invited.....it's gonna be one hell of a party!!!!
