Hey!
To start, I'd like to say that i just found this forum, and wanted to say I really like what I'm reading here! Good questions, great advice, and not a lot of B.S.
That said, my background is I'm 38, weigh around 180-185, and have decided to get serious about my bench. I've always been able to get above 300+ RAW, but have decided to incorporate boards, bands, speed, etc. and change my style to tricep pressing. I already feel the power and stability by bringing it in lower and pressing up the arch in my back.
Anyway, I've had this nagging issue with elbow joint pain. What can I do to overcome this? Any key stretches/excercises that seem to help?
Thanks for any advice!

I am not at all the bencher that cooke is but I will offer some ideas. elbow sleeves during warmup. Gets blood flowing to the elbows. If you move your grip around outward especially it may help relieve the elbow pain. it may also be tendonitis. Ibupforen prior to workout may keep it from getting inflamed.

Thanks guys. Yesterday, I moved my bench grip out from my pinkies on the power rings to my ring fingers on the rings, and that seemed to help on my bench. Most of my pain seems to come from tricep isolation excerices, namely skullcrushers. I think I'll invest in a pair of the elbow sleeves.
