what are the differences in puttin your arms in the shirt in different ways? ie palms up or down or neutral?

with certain shirts it adds resistance or allows you to tuck your elbows easier, depends on the shirt and which way you go. you 'll see a lot of guys turn their sleeves once they get the shirt on. most of the time that is for added resistance.

can you get as much support if you pronate your hands as far as possible compared to supinated? that would torque the sleeves to make the elbows go out wouldnt it?

no you can't. if make the elbows flare out too soon you can not recover at the top. the whole point of turning your palms out when you put on the shirt is for added pop at the bottom. it doesn't work well with all shirts. i've had more luck doing it with denim where the sleeves are a little more loose. poly shirts are supposed to be so tight you can't turn the sleeve. if you can it's not tight enough.
