I have noticed that on ME days, some people like 3 reps and some like 2. What do you prefer and what are the advantages/disadvantages?

ron i actually do 5,3 and 1. most of the time it depends on what i did the previous week and how far out from a meet and also the dynamic day workout. i do mine strictly by feel. all of my shirted stuff is done for 3 or 1. the majority of the time even if i start out doing 3 by the time we get to a max i'll hit the last for a single. i rarely ever do 2 unless i can't get three. hope this helps
